If Liberty of London can sell them, we can make them. Our 3D sculptures have taken weeks to complete, but it was definitely worth the wait. Here are our final pieces of art work from our topic Hola Mexico. They look fantastic on our Christmas tree.
Through history, the children in Year 6 have been learning all about the ancient Mayan Civilisation. They have learnt how this civilisation developed one of the first systems for writing (they also enjoyed a ball game very similar to football). After studying the meaning of different glyphs, we carved them into a block to soap to create a Mayan stelae. The classroom smells lovely and clean.
Today was our final music session with Mr Edgerton. The children performed a mini concert showcasing everything they had learnt to rest of the school. It was loud but amazing. Everybody wants to learn to play the djembe drum now. Well done children. Your drumming was absolutely fantastic.
